PRIVATE MEANS PRACTICAL! 

Your timing is our timing! We aim to provide a fabulous experience, cruising through the streets of Bayeux, fitting your tour within a well-prepared holiday. We are flexible, accommodating and we help you prepare your stay in Bayeux. Treat yourself and your family or friends to a private tour of Historic Bayeux, exclusive to your group. It will fit perfectly with everything else Bayeux has to offer, such as the Bayeux Tapestry, the MAHB (Art and History) and the Battle of Normandy museums. The Bayeux Cathedral is open to visitors for free, except during services / masses / ceremonies. Visit their boutique for explanatory guides or let us explain its secrets when adding the "inside of the cathedral" option. A private tour means peace of mind: we adapt to your needs and interests, the age range of your group, the weather (!), your time constraints, your walking difficulties.

Our tariffs are very modest and priced for individuals or groups.

  1. You can choose your own timing, pick-up, customized itinerary, reduced duration (younger children) or extended if you want to add the inside of the cathedral - the process is simple, check our tarifs according to your favoured options.

PS: If you are a solo traveller, we obviously still can accommodate a Private Tour: our fee will be the same as two payable adults.


BAYEUX PRIVATE TOURS FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS

1. FROM 2 ADULTS ONLY - ALL YEAR ROUND

You can arrange a private tour all year round according to our availability, from only 2 adults but also for larger groups, simply send an email discovery.walks.bayeux@gmail.com specifying:

  • the size and composition of your party
  • the number of children (<18) in your party
  • your favored date and time slot (afternoon / morning)
  • if there are constraints to take into account (person in a wheelchair, small aged children, time constraints...)
  • do not hesitate to contact us if you need to ask a question first

Individual tarifs 2022 - 2023

  • 30€ per adult from 2 adults
  • 25€ per adult from 3 to 4 adults
  • 20€ per adult from 5 to 6 adults
  • Free for <18 children
  • This price is based on a 2 hour visit of Historic Bayeux. 
  • With departure from the Bayeux Tourist Office 1 rue Saint Jean
  • You can add the visit the inside of the cathedral for an additional 20€ whatever the size of your group. This will take approximately 30mn. This option is only possible if there is no mass or ceremony on the date and time of your tour.
  • You can add a hotel pick-up for a mere 10€ which includes the consequent customized itinerary
  • Payment is in Euro cash on the day of the tour

Group flat rates 2022

  • 120 € for a group of 7 to 12 adults
  • 135 € for a group of 13 to 20 adults
  • (maximum 25 people in total, adults and children)
  • an invoice will be issued for your group
  • Free for <18 children

2. ONLINE SLOTS AVAILABLE WITH IMMEDIATE CONFIRMATION AND CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS IN YOUR OWN CURRENCY

Check on Tripadvisor / Viator for available private tour slots for groups from 1 to 4 people

  • 9:30AM from October 2022 to February 2023
  • 4:30PM from March to September 2023

The advantages are:

  • the booking process is simple and easily accessible on your phone
  • a unique 75€ fee (which Viator will indicate in your own currency) for a group up to 4 people for a 2 hour guided tour of Historic Bayeux
  • The payment is made by card in your own currency
  • You receive an immediate booking confirmation with your guide's details
  • RDV is the Bayeux Tourist Office, 1 rue Saint Jean, 14400 Bayeux
  • The cancellation process is simple up to 24h before
  • The inside of the cathedral is not included in this offer since it is impossible to know in advance if a service / mass / ceremony will take place.
  • We can add it with a mere flat fee of 20€, payable in Euro cash on the day, if it is permitted and you wish to add it.

SCHOOL OUTINGS IN HISTORIC BAYEUX - SPECIAL TARIFF

A specific ONE hour tour has been designed for school groups. 

One fixed fee per accompanying adult = 20€

The calculation is based 1 paying adult for a maximum of 5 children. 

Example: a group of 3 adults for 15 children, the quote will be 3 x 20 € = 60 €, which makes it 3,33€ per person. 

An invoice will be issued for your school.

INFORMATION FOR TOUR OPERATORS ONLY

In addition to the service described above, we offer other VIP options  which will please your clients, such as:

  • Hotel pick-up on foot within Bayeux with a greeting sign displaying your own logo
  • Guiding service inside the cathedral
  • "Cut the queue" purchase of museum tickets
  • Tasting stops (apple-based beverages or cheese) with local shop owners
  • Accompanying service inside museums
  • Customized itinerary and tours up to 3 hours
  • Personalized service (allowing time for souvenir shopping, taking photos of clients, advice on other activities, access to "secret, hidden" locations...)

Our advantageous rates enable you to add your own margin on the client's final bill.

Our cancellation terms are equally very flexible: cancellation 1 week before the date of the tour doesn't incur any charge
